The Carina variety

It is patented by CATINAPLANT SRL Bistrița at the Institute of Research and Development for Fruit Growing Piteşti-Mărăcineni in cooperation with this institute.

A variety with high yield, with round, bright orange berries, rich in vitamin C (1.11 mg/ litre – juice, 39.60 mg/100g) – raw fruit, and provitamin E .

Medium-sized berries, 0.40 g, oval, bright orange, with a short peduncle (1.9 mm)

  • Medium content of carotenoids (β- carotene 4648.02 μg β-carotene/100g fruit)

  • Total acidity 2.61 % (malic acid)

  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), 1.11 mg/l juice and 39.60 mg/100g raw fruit

  • Total dry substance: 11.47 % Brix

  • pH of the juice: 1.47

  • Tannoid substances: 0.310 %
